Case Study: Hydrafacial Mechanism of Action Animation
In the spring of 2023, I had the opportunity to work with Nanobot Medical. We created an animation for the launch of Hydrafacial's new machine called Syndeo.
Hire Me
We needed to create an engaging video for the Syndeo, a new generation of Hydrafacial devices and show its features and benefits.
Project Requirements
- Scientific and eye-catching animation.
- Audience: Medical centers and cosmetology clinics.
- 78 seconds of animation.
- The deadline 8 weeks.
Project Overview
We need to show device interaction with different skin layers in cross-section view. The animation consisted of 6 scenes and 3 steps what we need to explain to customers. Step 1 is Hydra Dermabrasion - a deep cleansing and exfoliation of the epidermis. Step 2 is Extraction - removes impurities from pores with painless suction. Step 3 is Hydration - saturates the skin’s surface with intense moisturizers and nourishing ingredients. We also need to explain the Vortex-Fusion technology.
The Challenge
The project had to be attractive and at the same time realistic from a medical point of view, which imposed its own limitations.
The Approach & Solution
We spend a lot of time with artdirector to achive attractive look of skin layers in cross-section. In this project, I decided to abandon full-fledged fluid simulations because I needed something more controllable and easily modifiable. Thanks to the magic of Cinema 4d, I managed to get beautifully looking and fully controlled "fake" liquids.
